Hyderabad: Rescue operations are continuing in the SLBC tunnel. Intense efforts are being made to rescue the 8 people trapped in the tunnel. However, the rescue operation has slowed down due to adverse conditions inside the tunnel. It has become nearly impossible to go further than 11 kilometers inside. The only way to proceed is by using a conveyor belt, and the oxygen supply tube has also been damaged. Water, mud, and materials related to the boring machine have all collapsed, and the team has decided to remove them before they can proceed inside.

To rescue the trapped staff, restoration of electricity inside the tunnel is ongoing. After a review with senior officials, State Disaster Management Special Chief Secretary Aravind Kumar revealed these details. A blueprint (map) has been prepared to understand the nature of the incident inside and how to carry out the rescue operation. This map has been provided to the rescue teams, and it will be used to proceed inside. Meanwhile, necessary equipment is being sent to restore power inside the tunnel. Additionally, efforts are underway to restore the oxygen supply tube before the rescue teams can enter.

Around 100 meters of obstruction The rescue teams have come to a conclusion regarding the nature of the incident at the SLBC tunnel near Domalapenta. It has been determined that 8 people are trapped near the collapsed roof in an area 40 meters wide near the TBN mission. The teams have confirmed how to reach there and the adverse conditions in that area. To reach the location where the workers are trapped, there is an obstruction of approximately 100 meters. Only after removing this obstruction can they proceed. It has been concluded that this process will take at least 10 days.
